Meet the Chiropractor: Dr. Luong Diep
I know from my own experience what it feels like when life stress starts to overwhelm your body and drain your energy. Today, I love helping others find balance and confidence in their bodies through natural chiropractic care — with warmth, curiosity and authenticity.
Before becoming a chiropractor, I worked as a web designer, spending countless hours behind a screen until my body was screaming at me to do something about my health. My body began to tighten up first with mild tension in my neck and between my shoulder blades, and over time this grew into headaches, restlessness and fatigue. As the frequency of the headaches increased, my energy dropped, and even some of my favourite hobbies like sports and gaming started too difficult to enjoy. After trying every traditional approach, I finally went to see a chiropractor, where everything changed for me. The pain faded, the headaches reduced, my energy returned, and I finally found a new sense of direction. That moment was a turning point: I knew now that I wanted to help others experience the same life-changing improvements
I was born and raised in Tampere, Finland, and as a first-generation Finnish person with Asian heritage, it has shaped how I see the world and provided me with a unique lens to understand people through. Growing up between different cultures had provided me with the perspective that there isn't just one path to health and wellbeing, and that we all have a story to tell that is impacting our health today. The way that my story has shaped me is that is has made me calm, curious, detail-oriented, and someone who takes comfort in seeing the full picture before acting.
After I decided to pursue a new career in chiropractic, my partner and I packed our lives into two suitcases and moved to the south coast of England with our two dogs in tow. I studied chiropractic for five years, and immersed myself into the science and art of the body, the nervous system and chiropractic technique. The more I learned, the more I realised that focusing on "perfect" health wasn't attainable, and that a healthy life involves balance, connection, and providing the body the space to do what it's designed to do — heal.
After graduating from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with top marks, I moved to the Netherlands and joined ONE Chiropractic Studio in Utrecht, where I have now been practicing for the past year.
Outside of the practice, I find my own sense of balance and connection through various things in my everyday life. My partner and I enjoy volunteering at a local farm in Utrecht, caring for goats, sheep, horses, and donkeys. It has been something that I find keeps me grounded and brings me back to a simpler rhythm of life. You may also find me in the kitchen cooking and experimenting with new flavours at home, turning mealtimes into moments of creativity and connection; one of the most important tools in my kitchen is my Japanese chef's knife and you will never be disappointed if you invest in one of these. When visiting Finland, you will find me playing a few rounds of disc golf with my friends. When I need to unwind and relax completely, you will find me enjoying a good PlayStation session.
