Whether this is your first baby or the latest addition to your family, we understand that every pregnancy, birth, and growing child is wonderfully individual. For parents, this time can be both exciting and joyful, and at times, a little overwhelming.
At ONE Chiropractic Studio Amersfoort and Utrecht, our paediatric chiropractors take the time to truly listen, understand, and support every parent and child we meet. Each pregnancy, labour, and birth story is unique, and so is every baby's development. A child's brain and nervous system grow more in the first four years of life than at any other time, and every movement, behaviour, and developmental milestone provides valuable insight into how their nervous system is functioning.
As part of our 5-step clinical process, we take the time to show, explain, and educate you about what we're seeing and why your baby may be displaying certain signs, such as:
Discomfort when changing clothes
Discomfort lying on the change table
Flat or asymmetrical head shape (plagiocephaly)
Colic, excessive crying, or prolonged unsettledness
Discomfort during tummy time
Dislike of car seats
Favouring one side during feeding or when being held
Persistent asymmetrical postures (head tilted or rotated to one side)
If your baby is experiencing any of these signs, we recommend booking an Initial Consultation. During this first visit, we take our time to gently assess, listen to your concerns, and explain clearly what's happening and why your baby might be experiencing discomfort or developmental challenges.
Our paediatric chiropractic care in Utrecht and Amersfoort for newborns, infants, toddlers and young children is extremely gentle, specific and always adapted to each child's age, size, and stage of development. Chiropractic adjustments for babies look very different from those for adults, there are no forceful movements, and no "popping" or "cracking." Instead, we use precise, light techniques that are safe and effective for delicate and developing bodies.
